FURIOUS Brit passengers quarantined on an infected cruise ship last night claimed they were being charged extra for drinks brought to their cabins.
The Diamond Princess was held in port in Japan after 61 passengers were diagnosed with coronavirus.
"They’ve started charging a tray fee of 18 per cent for drinks brought to cabins. That’s a bit cheeky as we can’t leave our cabins.”
”I know it probably works out to hardly anything but it’s the principle of it – how can they get away with charging when we are confined to our cabins.”
Another passenger who asked not to be named said:
”I’m not happy about this at all. They shouldn’t be charging a tray fee when we’ve been told not to go out.
”I would be more than happy to go to the bar or restaurant to get a drink but we have been told to stay put to stop the virus spreading.”
